A collection of images, videos and various file from Paul Fedor.

**Catching up on Dec 17**

Sometime in the early 2000’s I met artist/photographer/director Paul Fedor.  I can’t remember how, but I think I was a camera assistant on a video he directed.  We got to talking, and became acquaintances for a brief period of time.  I mostly remember the visit to his Brooklyn apartment/studio where he showed me his paintings and video gear.  He had a huge painting made of paint and cigarette butts that he collected and kept in empty paint cans, which propped up the painting.  The place was a mess, but creativity flowed through every corner of the space.  For some reason he gave me a computer that had the program Smoke on it.  Monitors and all.  I remember hauling it back to my apartment without a clue of what to do with it.  I think I offered it to the folks at Consulate, but they couldn’t use it.

I also recall feeling envious of his creativity and uninhibited nature (like I am of almost every true artist).

This CD is a collection of files he gave me and is disc 1 of 2.  The files are a mixture of photography and video… some really beautiful stuff.  I’ve kept it thinking I would use it for a project, or that it was really cool to have something from a famous director, but I’m ready to let go.  I’ll copy what I want and release the rest.
