Organic Male 4 step facial treatment.

Okay, okay.  This was a birthday (or holiday) present sometime last year and as you can see, I never used it.

I’m not one for facial treatments, or shaving for that matter, so I don’t see myself going through a 4 step treatment, no matter how luxurious or organic the experience.

So, I have-

Brush.
This is the brush used while coloring my hair (see Thing 114).  Nothing special about it, just a brush.
It hasn’t been used in about 7 years, so if anybody has an urge to change hair color, let me know and you can have the brush.

Clairol Pure White 20 hair lightner.

I bought this about 7 years ago while working at Consulate.  We got into a phase there of hair dying (and I think cutting) during the slow periods. One afternoon, my friend (the multi-talented and wonderfully awesome) Melissa Huffsmith-Roth hooked me up and made me a light blonde.  It was a great look for me.

Unfortunately, this bottle has sat on a shelf or in a bag ever since, and I don’t think I’m going light blonde anytime soon, so boom!  Thing 114.

Mintek portable DVD player.

This little guy (5″ screen) was awesome for quite some time.  It had survived many a road trip and probably an airplane or two.  I think my folks were given the Mintek as a promotional gift on one of their trips to Atlantic City.  I had actually laughed it off for a while, seeing that I had a laptop and a subscription to Netflix streaming.  But then we started taking longer rides with Anabelle, and when she was old enough, this player was a nice option for the occasional movie.

However, on her most recent return trip from Maryland, Anabelle became frustrated that the movie wasn’t playing and tried to investigate the mechanics and inner workings of the DVD player, rendering it broken.  I give her kudos for trying to fix the player.  Bummer for her she broke it.  She looked really cute back there, headphones on and transfixed by The Sound of Music or something like that.

Duvet cover.

Here’s an old blue duvet cover that Deana and I have used for probably a decade (and she’s used it even longer).  It has some small tears in the fabric, so we purchased a new one last year and have kept this around with thoughts of using it as a beach blanket or something silly like that.  We made it through this summer without touching it once, so I see no reason to keep it.  Deana agrees, and with her blessing, I make the duvet Thing 112.
