Dance Heads DVD. La Bamba
**Catching up on Dec 19**
A few years ago my folks took a trip on Norwegian Cruise Line where part of the entertainment was the opportunity to make a Dance Head video.  So they made three (see future Things).  A Dance Head video is when you sing a song, in this case La Bamba, and they superimpose your head on a body in front of different changing backgrounds.  We showed this video to Anabelle once or twice and then it’s been in my desk drawer since.
What I love most about this video is it looks like my parents are genuinely having a great time together and allowing themselves to be absurd.

I’m fortunate enough to have a camera on my computer. Â And most of the other devices in our home have cameras on them- phones, computers. Â I believe this was a gift from my dear friend Dan, back when Anabelle was born. Â It was in hopes of keeping in touch with webcalls. Â We didn’t connect as much as we would have liked, but I’m horrible at keeping in contact with dear friends, so I’m an ass. Â Now we both have two children and I hope to keep better connected because I want our families to be close forever.

Firewire 800 to firewire 800 cable.

Most videos I edit are shot tapeless, and the media is delivered to me on hard drive. Â I have a 4TB drive with an ESATA connector, which is much faster than FW800. Â I prefer to use that when editing or transferring media, so I don’t have to hold on to excess FW800 cables. Â One day I might jump on the Thunderbolt bandwagon and then my SATA cables will be useless as well.
