Thing 165
Yoga mat (it’s actually purple…my phone has a beef with color correction).
Oh wow. Â Thing 165. Â 200 to go. Â I feel really good about this challenge.
This has been an amazing process for me and I feel more free.  I’ve had  a number of great conversations about what this process means and why I’ve taken on such a (crazy? stupid? wonderful? challenging?) project.  The time is right and I’m loving the rhythm of release and emotion I get from freeing myself from each thing.
This Yoga mat was actually from a co-worker when I worked at Consulate. Â I’ve had it since 2003 but haven’t used it since 2010. Â We have two other mats downstairs, so Deana is going to offer this to her prenatal yoga instructor to see if she can use it in the studio. Â I hope so..hate to see a good yoga mat go to waste.
Let me know if you’re interested and if the yoga studio doesn’t need it, it’s yours.
Thanks for following along.
Thing 164
Painting and frame.
I acquired this from the Beacon Flea Market last year. Â Someone was selling an amazing coffee table and wanted to get rid of a bunch of things, so she threw this in for free (along with 3 great ashtrays and some other things I’ve forgotten). Â My intention was always to repurpose it and now I have taken that opportunity.
This weekend, I have a pice in the “Blue Collar Blues” art show at the Faith in Art Gallery here in Beacon. Â I’m using this frame as part of my piece (you can see sneak peeks of the piece on the instagram feed). Â And from there, who knows where it will go….
Come on out this Saturday from 4-7 for the opening!
Thing 163
Sharp Stereo Radio Cassette Recorder
That’s right. Â Twin mechanism, double cassette. Â AM/FM radio. Â 3 band graphic equalizer.
Man, I love this thing. Â I used to have it in high school and remember it fondly. Â Unfortunately, I don’t think the tape decks work anymore, and the only tapes I have are too valuable to put into this machine. Â It puts out great sound, and I only wish they made radios like this today….
Come and get it!
Thing 162
4 DVD rough cuts of “What’s Organic about ‘Organic'”?
I have kept these since 2007 and 2008, after various stages of editing the film WAOA? Â I’ve noticed the website is down, so maybe they are up to something…planning something new for the film. Shelley has been touring the movie for years, and I hope she’s on to another amazing project.
